Weight loss?

Question by Hailey: Weight loss?
I want to lose 20 – 30 pound by the beginning of November. I need to know what foods to eat. I will be going and walking/running everyday after school as well.

I’m 5’9 i have a large body frame. I weigh somewhere around 190.
The healthy weight range for my height is 150 – 170.

Any tips on how to maximize my weight loss in that amount of time. Thanks.

First you need to cut out any and ALL fast foods and sodas… eat fresh vibrant colored veggies and stick to chicken or fish…. also have a good multivitamin to maintain health and feel great http://www.enivamembers.com/?id=nick… i suggest VIBE…. i use it if you have on already thats great!

It’s not really the food you eat but the portions.
Have smaller portions of food and instead of having three large meals a day, eat 5 smaller meals. Try to add fruits and vegetables to your diet as two of the small meals. They will keep you going until you can have maybe some chicken or a sandwich. Also, drink green tea every morning. It really helps with digestion and does help with weight loss. If you mess up one day and eat too much don’t let it screw up your diet, just continue on the next day.
    Good luck!

Eliminate anything with saturated and trans-fat. I lost 12 pounds in three weeks. All I did was cut fast food out of my diet and went to the gym every other day for two hours straight working on cardio and weights. If you keep that up until november, I’m sure you can attain your goal. Good luck.

Although it may seem counterintuitive, eating a good balanced breakfast every morning is one of the most important steps to losing weight.

Given that you are trying to lose a significant amount of weight, which clearly doesn’t happen overnight (as you’ve already noted) I would suggest you find some sort of support as you are going along. Your motivation will dip some days and even when you’ve slipped you need the mental stregnth to keep you going. A great way is to work with a kind of support group. Personally, I’ve used e-diets.com where there are chat rooms, dieting food plans, etc. And it worked for me. I don’t know how much it costs any more, but maybe you can find simillar groups that don’t charge.

Good luck and hang in there!

It seems that your hunger and power of assimilation are good.
Therefore I will suggest raw diet. But go step by step. If you find benefit in first step itself why to go for highest one?
Have a glass of warm water early in the morning and exercise.
    Try sprouts only for breakfast.
Strictly avoid fatty, spicy, stale, sweet foods and cold drinks.
Add salads to both the meals.
    Minimise carbo. intake.
Check weight loss daily and go on eliminating one by one – even tea too (but can have it without sugar).
Finally only sprouts and salads remain. It is your food. You will live 100 years without a pill.

you need to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don’t over 60 minutes at a time.

Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don’t look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Good luck and stick at it.
